Reasons:

• Suitable for the content, let's the work maintain the focus for the viewer.
• Search bar is an innovative design.
• Modernist simple layout, easy to navigate.

Reasons:

• One scrolling page means all information can be held on one space. 
• Interactive, page moves as you hover around it. 
• Original with another simple layout designed around ease for the user. 

4. Toko http://www.toko.nu/

Reasons:

• Navbar which stays at top of page even when scrolling down so navigation is always available not matter where you are on the page. 
• Clean aesthetic with strong photographic and image based structure. 

5. Academy http://www.weareacademy.com/

Reasons:

• Again interesting navbar which is not static and scrolls with the page. 
• Square format adds a level of abstract on a modernist structured page.
